Determine the weight of powder and the volume of water.

Weigh out the powder and measure its temperature.

Adjust the water temperature so as to give a slurry temperature of 20ºC.

Measure the required volume of water into a clean mixing bowl.

Add the powder to the water.

Mix by hand for 30 seconds, to break up any lumps.

Mix by machine for a further 3 minutes.

Vacuum the investment in the bowl (not more than 2 minutes).

Pour the investment slowly down the side of the flask until the wax patterns are covered.

Vacuum the investment in the flask (not more than 2 minutes).

Let the flask stand undisturbed (at least 1 hour is best).

Remove sprue base and collar.

Place flask in furnace and follow an appropriate burn-out cycle.  DO NOT EXCEED 740ºC.

Cast with metal.
